When it comes to versatility the designers at Fotoman surpassed expectation. The Fotoman Dmax has a lens rise and fall of 20mm in either direction totaling 40mm of movement. The back of the camera has a 25mm shift movement from left to right totaling 50mm. The Dmax can accept film backs from Hasselblad (6x6), Mamiya (RB 6x7 and RZ 6x8) and Horseman (6x9 and 6x12). To make this product more appealing the Dmax is compatible with Hasselblad, Phase One, Leaf and Mamiya digital backs. To make the backs easy to use Fotoman designers have created a sliding back, to use with the compatible digital backs mentioned above, and that can be fitted with an optional ground glass viewfinder.
